A dynamic web app for browsing movies and TV shows through the TMDB API: discovery, watchlists, advanced search and language switching, built as a team project during ITI training.
The app is only as good as its handling of someone else's data: TMDB's catalogue is huge, paginated and always changing. Browsing had to stay fast, search had to narrow millions of titles usefully, and personal state (the watchlist) had to persist across the experience, in more than one language.
We built it in React with Bootstrap: TMDB integration drives browsing and detail pages, advanced search filters the catalogue, watchlist state is managed app-wide, and the interface switches languages cleanly.
