Uses
The tools I actually open every day — not a wishlist.
Editor & terminal
- VS Code, with Vim keybindings and a dark theme that matches this site
- Zsh on Linux, tmux for long-running sessions
- Git from the command line; GitHub for review and CI
Building
- Next.js and React for anything with a front end
- Django and Laravel for the platforms that carry money and accreditation
- NestJS and Express where a Node service fits the team better
- Tailwind CSS, with design tokens rather than raw values
Data & infrastructure
- PostgreSQL by default; MongoDB where documents genuinely fit
- Redis and Celery for background work and scheduled jobs
- Docker for parity between my machine and production
- Nginx on a Linux VPS, or Vercel when the shape suits it
Working
- Notion for specs and client-facing scope
- Trello for milestone tracking on fixed-scope projects
- Figma to read designs; I build from tokens, not screenshots
- WhatsApp for client contact — it is what Gulf clients actually answer
This page changes as the work changes. If something here is out of date, the site is wrong and I want to know.
